About Us

We are Public Health students at Brigham Young University studying the impact of opioid abuse on the Utah community. We have partnered with the American Cancer Association (ACS-CAN) to conduct research and create awareness. We are specifically interested in reducing opioid addiction rates while still allowing cancer patients access to pain medications for their treatment related pain.

Each year an estimated $635 billion dollars are attributed to loss of productivity and medical expenses for those suffering from chronic pain (1).
